Youth News – March 2016

It has been a wonderful couple of months of ministry, and we have some exciting events coming up in March.  I would ask parents to especially encourage their teens to attend the Abigail’s Angels fundraiser concert on March 13th, to benefit one of our Starkdale youth, Abigail Kinney.  Also, to attend the “Teen Depression, Self-Injury and Suicide” night on March 20th, featuring Lisa Ward of Coleman Counseling.  It has been a blessing to see  so many of the Starkdale youth at the FCA clubs and at their sporting events. The Souper Bowl for Caring was very successful, and we wish to thank you for your support.  The youth collected $411, to be given to the Urban Mission.  Although it was freezing cold, 22 youth participated in the ice skating night on February 14th, at PPG in Pittsburgh.

God bless you all!

In November and December, a six-week Communicants Class was taught by Pastor Bobbyjon Bauman.  Of the students attending, the four pictured above were received into membership on December 13, 2015. Victoria Collins and Jake Barger were baptized during the worship service.

We look forward to the joy of serving with these wonderful young people.  May we continue to keep them in our prayers.
